Specialist therapist for OCD and Sex Addiction issues.

I have over twenty years of experience as a psychotherapist and offer a warm, safe and effective approach to therapy. I believe with the right help, anyone can recover and have a meaningful and fulfilling life. Specialist therapist for OCD and Sex Addiction issues.

Areas of Special Interest

Sex and pornography addictions and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) are my two main areas of specialty. Aside from my main specialties I also work with relationship issues, depression, anxiety, and alcohol & drug addictions.

Counselling/Therapy Services

I offer short and long term therapy and welcome people of any ethnicity, gender or culture. It’s a privilege to have been able to help people get through some of the most difficult times in their lives and I bring a supportive non-judgmental attitude to everyone I work with.

People often arrive feeling anxious or guilty about their thoughts, behaviours or situation in life and it’s important to be able to reassure them that they can recover, explain what’s happening to them, give them perspective and show them a clear path forward. Often recovery can also involve helping people see the origin of the issue while simultaneously learning ways to set about changing it. By the end of therapy people will typically have worked through the issue, have some useful tools to help feel more in control of their lives, and are more in touch with their true selves.

Counselling/Therapy Approach

I believe that effective psychotherapy needs to be tailored to the person as everyone has their own unique history, values and goals.

I have an integrative approach to psychotherapy utilising clinically proven methods such as Mindfulness based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) including Exposure/Response Prevention for OCD, Motivational Interviewing, Emotionally Focussed Therapy (EFT) for relationships, and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
